Gail Albert Halaban

 

 

 

Gail Albert Halaban’s photographs explores the intersection of portraiture, landscape and architecture in cities around the world.  

 Her series, Out My Window (2007), consists of consensual photographs taken from her window, revealing the mundane and sometimes intimate moments of private life. Each photograph allows the viewer to stop and take a moment to consider the stories behind the window which is often overlooked in the dense city life. 

Gail Albert Halaban received her BA from Brown University and earned her MFA in Photography from Yale University. Her work is in the collections of the George Eastman Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, Nelson-Atkins Museum, Cape Ann Museum, and Wichita Art Museum. The artist currently lives and works in New York City.
